It is popular for custom units, Delfields, older Masterbuilt walk-ins, older Norlake walk-ins, some Traulsen and Utility units. Gaskets should mount around the door pan or with gasket mounting strips. If the gasket has been glued or stapled, we recommend using screws and mounting strips. For a good fit, measure the height & width of the door pan or the height & width from the outside corner to the outside corner of the gasket. Delfield is a good example of a unit that uses a "magnet pattern" When the gasket closes against a plastic or not-attracting metal, the manufacturer will foam an attracting metal or place a magnet behind the face of the unit to which a gasket will adhere. When installing gaskets on a unit of this type, make sure to mark the corners of the old gasket to insure the new gasket mounts in the same place. If not, you may find that the magnet will repel and open the door instead of closing it.
